In worship on Sunday we will receive pledges of financial support for the year of ministry beginning July 1. If you cannot attend worship, please mail your pledge card to the church office, attention: Katie. You may also submit your pledge online. Giving via automatic bankdraft is very convenient; to set it up, please complete and return this form. For all the ways in which you are part of our common ministry, thank you!

Easter flowers

Flowers are a big part of our celebration of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. Please use this order form (printed copies are available at the church) to contribute to our floral Easter proclamation with the purchase of lilies or other flowering plants. The deadline for orders is Monday, April 15. The names of donors and those honored or remembered with their gifts will be listed in the bulletin on Easter.

Good Friday

The community is invited to our Good Friday service on April 19 at 6:30 p.m.  A reading of the passion story, prayers, songs, and the stripping of the chancel are elements of this contemplative service in the sanctuary. If you would like to help lead this service as a reader, please contact Thomas.

Bible study: Acts

Our Wednesday morning Bible study will begin a 10-week series of the book of Acts on April 24, the Wednesday after Easter. They meet on Wednesday mornings at 7:30, at 40 Burton Hills Boulevard, suite 420. If you are curious about this group, talk to Jack Wallace, Charlie Biter, Carol Doidge, Lydia Grubb, Larry Adams, Linda Edwards, or Thomas Kleinert.

The Green Good News

Are you interested in discovering and living the biblical teachings on the role of human beings in creation? Join Allison May 4, 11, and 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to participate in three online classes presented by Lexington Theological Seminary titled “The Green Good News: Jesus’ Path to Joyful and Sustainable Life.”

Partnering with schools

United4Hope connects churches to Metro Nashville Public Schools to see students thrive. Schools across the district are seeking additional community partners. They are hosting a one-hour partnership information session on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 9 a.m. at the Southeast Community Center in Antioch. If you are interested in going to this information session to explore this ministry opportunity on behalf of Vine Street, please contact Thomas.

Summer camps at Bethany Hills

Registration for camps this summer is open, and early bird registration ends May 1. Allison has created a terrific FAQ page, and she'd love to talk with you about the impact of camp on our youngsters (and the wonderful counselors).
