Several outstanding events and opportunities are coming up for you and your family this holiday season! Everything culminates in our two special Christmas Eve worship services. Of course, don't forget Sunday worship at 8:30 a.m. (Communion in the Chapel) and at 10 a.m. (traditional worship in the Sanctuary).
Waffle Breakfast (Nov. 26)—Follow up Thanksgiving with a delightful 9 a.m. waffle breakfast in Fellowship Hall. Proceeds support the youth group’s mission work.
Sunday Morning Devotional Stories (beginning Dec. 3)—Pick up a copy of the 2017 Vine Street Christian Church Advent devotional, available soon. Contributors will talk about their submissions during adult Christian education, Sundays of Advent at 9 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
Hanging of the Greens Service (Dec. 3)—We begin to prepare for the arrival of the Christ child by decorating together our Sanctuary during the 10 a.m. worship service. Special music and readings carry us into the Advent season!
Longing in the Heart (beginning Dec. 5)—Prayerfully aware of God’s presence, we offer intercessions, too, on behalf of our world, our city and our church in 30-minute gatherings (three opportunities per week, through Dec. 21).
Brass Band of Nashville Holiday Concert (Dec. 7)—Enjoy fantastic Christmas music at 7 p.m. performed by our city’s popular traditional British brass band.
It’s a TNT Christmas (Dec. 10)—Our TNT friends have been soooo nice this year! Come out at 2 p.m. to celebrate in Fellowship Hall.
Serenity Circle Christmas Party (Dec. 12)—Martha Bishop hosts at 6:30 pm. this impressive women’s group for a dinner and Dirty Santa extravaganza! Pot luck and funny gifts—we’re lovin’ it!
Vine Street at the Movies (Dec. 13)—We’re featuring The Shop Around the Corner at 7 p.m.
The 2017 Children’s Christmas Musical & Pasta Supper (Dec.17)—Lights! Costumes! Our Children’s Choir presents Room for Christmas at 4 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, followed by a tasty pasta supper!
MBA Evensong (Dec. 17)—In this community event, Montgomery Bell Choirs present at 6 p.m. a warm evening of music in our Sanctuary.
Christmas Eve at Vine Street (Dec. 24)—Be part of a dynamic intergenerational 10 a.m. worship service marking the day. Later, at 11 p.m., we will share in our traditional lessons & carols candlelight service. Joy to the World!
