To bring Mary Poppins to the screen, Walt Disney needed to work his magic. That’s what’s behind Saving Mr. Banks (PG-13), the feature title of the next Vine Street at the Movies! Join host Jim Carls on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Bride’s Room. The film is a somewhat fictionalized story of Walt Disney’s relationship with the notoriously hardheaded author P.L. Travers as Disney tried to gain the right to film Mary Poppins. You’ll be surprised by how the story goes to unexpected dramatic places. As always, this is a free event, so bring your friends!
