WHO WE ARE

Imagine: What if everyone was welcome to wonder...

We have questions, maybe like you, too, about finding greater purpose in life; about pain, loss and sorrow—all while we’re daring to believe a local group of people can still make a difference in each others lives, in neighborhoods, across the country and throughout the world.

We welcome the wondering.

Together, Vine Street Christian Church participants seek answers—or at least a conversation that reminds us we’re not alone in our questions—by sharing faith in God and by being grounded by life-giving Christian traditions that are dynamically informed by daily experiences.

And our wondering gets us involved. It takes us places.

By faith, and because we have a rich, deeply-rooted taproot in Nashville’s notable history, we are a church with a progressive commitment to social justice. That's why we're involved in our Nashville community.

We know a one-size-fits-all faith is a thing of the past, so we won’t ask you to conform to a particular creed. We are a Disciples of Christ congregation, however, so we will point you to our belief “in essentials, unity; in nonessentials, freedom; in all things, love,” a long-held tradition seeking unity in diversity.

What can that mean?

Let's wonder together.

Can you imagine?
