Spring... doesn't quite feel to be in the air. But we're making strides forward with these wonderful offerings! Join us!
Vine Street Shares Talent
We’re looking for volunteers to put together a great program! The TNT Talent Show is slated for Sunday, April 22. While showtime is at 2 p.m. we need folks before, during and after the event. Our TNT friends love to share their talents—how about you? What about providing treats, set up or clean up? Audience members are also needed. Contact Hope Hodnett to volunteer. The TNT Club is a community ministry for adults with developmental disabilities. It meets monthly for social gatherings, and volunteers of all ages are a necessity.
Children’s Choir Returns
Children's Choir will rehearse immediately following worship on April 15, 22, and May 6. They will present an anthem in worship on May 13. Contact Katie McLaughlin with your questions.
Take Me Out to the Ballgame
It’s diamonds and cathedrals for Vine Street friends on Sunday, April 29! That’s when we’ll head to the ballpark immediately after worship to watch the high-ranking Vanderbilt Commodores take on South Carolina. We’ll tailgate and have great seats for the contest—all for $5 per person (or $20 household max)! Now that’s a home run! Contact Jeff Miller to learn more about this exciting Membership Committee event!
Elders Set to Meet
The Elders will have their next regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.
Suggest a Leader
Pat Cole and the Nominating Committee are now receiving your suggestions. Name persons you believe would serve well as a leader for our congregation in the upcoming programming year starting July 1. Share names with Pat and her committee will follow up.
Men’s Bible Study Takes on New Topic
Charlie Biter invites the men of Vine Street to share in a weekly Bible study. The new series starts April 11, studying Philippians and Galatians by Stanley Saunders. Rev. Thomas Kleinert will facilitate the conversation, which meets on Wednesday mornings at 7:30 a.m. in the conference room at Charlie’s office at 40 Burton Hills Blvd., suite 420. Coffee and tea will be provided. The study will end at 8:30 a.m. Please R.S.V.P. to Charlie.
New Book to Grace Serenity Circle
Serenity Circle gathers for a meal and conversation at 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall on the second Tuesday of most months. Women of all ages can join the circle when we next meet April 10! Though we don’t always talk about a book we’re reading together, the latest title we’re discussing is The Gift of Anger. To learn more about Serenity Circle, contact Kathy Zamata.
Conversation for a Growing Faith
Our unique adult Christian education class continues next Sunday! As we draw closer to God we also draw closer to one another. May we get to know you? Folks gather at 9 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
