New Addition Named to Childcare Team
Please welcome Mina Bazdarevic, who joins Johanna Keith and Ashley Halstead as a staff childcare provider. Perhaps you’ve seen Mina around? Let’s get to know her. She writes, “My family is from Bosnia and Serbia, and I was born in Germany. We moved here when I was about 3 ½ years old, so I've lived in Nashville for about 21 years—pretty much my whole life. This is home to me. I have three older siblings, two brothers and a sister, plus two nephews and three nieces. So to say my family is waiting eagerly for to me have children is an understatement. Children surround me everyday, as I also work at Vanderbilt with Johanna. I am very much an open book about pretty much everything, so if anyone wants to know more about me, they know where to find me.” Welcome to the Children’s Wing and Vine Street, Mina!
TNT Easter Party Fun Coming Soon
How about joining us next Sunday afternoon (March 25) to help celebrate the joy of Easter? We are hosting our TNT friends from 2-3:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. (Yes, that means you can be part of the Easter egg hunt!) Volunteers begin arriving as early as 12:30 p.m. to decorate and hide eggs. Contact Rev. Hope Hodnett (hope@vinestreet.org) to help. TNT Club is a community ministry for adults with developmental disabilities. They meet monthly for social gatherings, and volunteers of all ages are a necessity.
No Foolin’: Waffle Breakfast Delight
Let’s be together Sunday, April 1, celebrating the Good News of Easter! Enjoy a Waffle Breakfast with church friends in Fellowship Hall from 8:30-9:30 a.m. for just $5 per person (children 10 and under eat for free). Coffee, juice and the youth group’s world-famous waffle bar will roll away your hunger pangs!
Join the Super Duper Sweet Potato Drop
Mark the date— Saturday, April 7—as Vine Street and Alameda Christian Churches join forces to bag 20,000 pounds of sweet potato goodness! We’ve pledged to provide at least 60 volunteers—are you willing to be one of our yam-tastic helpers? This hands-on ministry opportunity is in partnership with the Society of St. Andrew benefitting local food ministries. We’ll gather at 8:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Please let Hope Hodnett know you’re coming (hope@vinestreet.org).
Concluding Spirituality and Arts Series
