Now Thomas Kleinert has agreed to resurrect this tradition.” It all begins on Wednesday, ept. 13. The group will meet at 7:30 a.m. in the conference room at Charlie’s office in Green Hills, 40 Burton Hills Blvd., Suite 420. Elders Potluck Wednesday

Beginning this month, the elders will have their regular monthly meeting on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. To kick-off this new schedule, there will be a potluck dinner meeting for the elders to be held at the home of Martha and Roger Bishop. Dr. Jim Crenshaw will address the group about the role of elders in the Bible. Everyone will gather Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m.

Living Our Call Making Progress

The Official Board heard two task force reports at its meeting on Wednesday,  Aug. 30. Pat Cole, chair of the Endowment Task Force, summarized recommendations made to the Board for updating the document guiding the management of our endowment. Jim Carls, a member of the Financial Futures Task Force, summarized, too, the work so far of that group. Both pieces will influence decisions being made by leadership as Vine Street continues to move forward successfully with our strategic plans under the theme Living Our Call. These documents, along with reports already filed by previous task forces, are available in the church office for your reading.
