Get Ready for a ‘Bootiful’ Time
Come out to welcome ghosts, goblins, princesses, frogs, fairies and all kinds of nice folks to the annual TNT Club Halloween Party on Sunday, Oct. 22 from 2-3:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall! So that we can knock the socks off our TNT friends, can you help with any of these tasks?
• assist at a craft table
• serve refreshments
• be a non-judgmental costume contest judge
• greet and offer hospitality
• provide 30 treats for our trick-or-treaters
• answer a church door when our TNT trick-or-treaters knock
• clean-up and pack-up from 3:30-4 p.m.

Free Concert Thursday
Brass Band of Nashville will present a concert in our Sanctuary on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. The program will include: Fanfare and Flourishes (for a Festive Occasion), James Curnow; El Relicario, Jose Padilla; Pantomime, Philip Sparke; Bugler’s Holiday, Leroy Anderson; and Finale from Symphony No. 2, Resurrection, G. Mahler. Celebrate the gift of music this fall!
CHICKEN & PUMPKINS: SAY WHAT?
It’s not as strange as it sounds! Today the youth group will gather at 11:30 a.m. following morning worship. For the first hour we’ll decorate for the TNT Halloween Party, which happens Oct. 22. Then we’ll carpool to McDougall’s Chicken for lunch. No money needed. What do you say? Join us! What’s up the next week? The TNT Halloween Party!

Volunteer with Luke 14:12
We can bring grace, respect, hospitality and nutritious meals to Nashville’s hungry, homeless and working poor. Volunteers are needed to pitch in on Oct. 23 with Luke 14: 12. Vine Street serves lunch with this ministry from 11:15 a.m.-1 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month. To sign up, contact Jeff Miller (jeff.miller@img.com). Are You Ready for Some Football?
Vine Street, we’re going to tailgate together and watch Vanderbilt take on Western Kentucky on Saturday, Nov. 4! The cost for the tailgate experience and game ticket is $10 per person; $30 max per household. Please make plans to bring a snack or dessert to share. Game time to be determined closer to game day.
