Mike Shipp

Mike Shipp will have outpatient surgery on Wednesday morning. He has had a persistent infection in his big toe, and he and his doctor have determined that amputation, though radical, is his best treatment option. He hopes to be in worship on Easter, and he should be able to talk without a walker within a week or two. Thank you for keeping him and Julia in your prayers.

Greg Rumburg's mom

Greg Rumburg and April Hefner ask for prayers of support for the family and friends of Greg's mom, Verna Rumburg. Verna died over the weekend after a recent illness. A funeral celebrating her life will be Wednesday, March 20 in Wooster, Ohio. We give thanks for Verna's life, and the family gives thanks to Vine Street for its many years of thoughtfulness toward her.

Gina Tek

Ted Parks asks for prayers for his friend, Gina Tek. Gina is a member at Lindsley Avenue Church of Christ, and part of PLAN, their homeless outreach ministry (she will be in worship at Vine Street in March to tell us about it; PLAN was one of this year’s mini grant recipients).

Tragically, Gina's son, Garrison, 44 years old, suddenly died from heart blockage last week. Click the link to read his obiituary. Thank you for your prayers for Gina and her family.

Gayle Sanders

Gayle Sanders has been hospitalized since Thursday and is receiving treatment for necrotizing fasciitis. Thankfully, she received this diagnosis early. She has had two rounds of surgery already to remove necrotic and infected tissue in her arm, and so far her prognosis is quite good. If all goes well, she will have surgery again tomorrow to close up all incisions. Thank you for continuing to remember her in your prayers.

Meda's friend

Meda Miller worked as a counselor at a Young Life camp this summer, A boy she worked with died by suicide two weeks ago, and his funeral was last week in Tuscaloosa. His death has been devastating for his family and friends, including their very close camp team. Thank you for remembering all of them in your prayers.
