The Hutton family

Allison Hutton’s sister, Tiffany Heath just received a breast cancer diagnosis, and she is very scared as to what’s ahead. She will meet with the surgeon in a couple of weeks.

Allison and Tiffany’s mother is currently in rehab after a recent fall, and she is dealing with dementia type issues, so they will have to make difficult decisions about her living situation.

Allison and Eric have sold their home and are looking for a new place to live. We hope that amid all these big changes, they will be able to find peace, comfort, and courage in the presence of God. Thank you for remembering the Huttons and Tiffany in your prayers.

Larry Adams ask for prayers for his friends, Jim Hodtiz and Ed Emerick. They just learned that the cause of Ed’s breathing problems is a tumor on his brain. Tests showed that it is a colon cancer metastasis.

Joyce Crowell has been hospitalized since Wednesday for various tests. Results indicate that she has a blockage in one of her coronary arteries; she will remain hospitalized, and is scheduled to have a stent placed in the obstructed vessel on Monday. Thank you for your prayers.

Friday prayers - heartbreak and great joy

Tallu Schuyler Quinn

“Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted.”
Matthew 5:4

Dear Tennessee Regional Church Family:

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the Rev. Tallu Schuyler Quinn. Tallu moved from this earthly life to her eternal home on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Let us pause - all over the Christian Church in Tennessee - to thank God for a glorious life well lived. One who leaves her touch on all she encountered. Her legacy of love, commitment, and light will be remembered for times to come. Tallu was the founder of the Nashville Food Project, member of Woodmont Christian Church, and lover of Bethany Hills Camp.

Keep in prayer Robbie Quinn (husband), and two beautiful children. Please pray for Tallu’s parents Thomas and Sarah Schuyler, siblings, and the entire Schuyler-Quinn families. Pray for all those who loved her and were blessed by the power of her friendship.

As more information becomes available, we will share it with our entire region.

God Bless each of us, as we lean on the love of the one who holds, comforts, and supports us during these times of sadness and grief.

Thank you, God for the life of Rev. Tallu Schuyler-Quinn

Navigating this journey in prayer,

The Rev. Dr, Christal L. Williams
Regional Minister & President
The Christian Church in Tennessee

Jack Wallace continues to receive treatments for a stubborn infection; he sends his greetings:

Dear Vine Street friends,

Although my health issues prevent me from gathering with you for worship, I continue to participate via the online service. I am grateful for that connection with you, even with its limitations, each Sunday.

I also appreciate the cards, the emails, and phone calls. Your thoughtfulness means much to me, and please know I look forward to the day when I can be with you in person again.

Until then, I remain your brother in Christ,

Jack Wallace

Chris Well

Erica Well posted this on Wednesday:

Sooooo. My sweetheart, my hubby, my Chris, is now recovering from two really intense days of major surgery. The prognosis is good, the recovery is long. The intensity of the past 8 weeks of surprise diagnosis to the surgeries themselves (there have been 4) has been ... well ... intense. I haven’t had the bandwidth to mention it here before now. (I’ve also started a new job, so it’s a lot a lot.)

If any of y’all would send him Get Well cards, he would find that very cheery. I know it’s Christmas and New Year’s, but like I said, this’ll be a long recovery, so a Get Well card anytime, even after the holidays, sure would be sweet.

You can send them to: Chris Well, PO Box 20214, New York, NY 10001

Thank you!!
