Halstead Grandbaby!
Randy and Jackie Halstead ask for prayers for a safe delivery as they await the birth of their first child (daughter Erin is the mother).
Randy was also exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID, despite everyone being vaccinated. While his initial test came back negative, he will take another at the end of the incubation period. We pray for Randy, that he’ll be able to meet his grandchild and that both Jackie and Randy will be able to offer presence and care for the newest member of their family in the days and weeks ahead.

Please keep Linda Parker in your prayers. She was admitted to the hospital last night to monitor sodium levels and a possible infection. She anticipates being in the hospital one more night.
Additionally, she begins a new drug treatment next week, which means regular chemotherapy (again).

Family tragedy at Woodmont
With a heavy heart we share this update from our sister congregation by Rev. Clay Stauffer. Thank you for your prayers for the families.
Woodmont Family,
You may have seen this story on the news . One of our elders and Sunday School teachers, Jeff Kinman, owns a landscaping company called Old South. Thursday afternoon at about 4:30 PM, one of his crews ran into a tractor-trailer on Interstate 40. Two were killed immediately in the accident, and two were taken to Vanderbilt. A third has passed away early Friday morning at Vanderbilt. Only the driver has survived.
These workers have families and small children. Jeff has always cared deeply about his employees and their families. I am starting a special fund today at Woodmont to help them called “The Old South Benevolent Fund.” If you can give anything to it, it would be greatly appreciated.
Here are their first names:

Please pray for their families and for Jeff as well. This is a very difficult situation and I think we can help as a church.
Thank you,
-Clay
