Eric Hutton's dad

Eric Hutton’s dad, Frank Hutton, died in the early morning hours of February 23. Eric and Sarah, along with other family members, had traveled to Jefferson City to be with him in his final hours and say their good-byes. Thank you for keeping all who mourn Frank’s death in your prayers.

Erica Hayden

Erica Hayden is scheduled to have gallbladder surgery on Monday, February 1. “I'm not really worried about the surgery - more about the recovery and lifting restrictions with a baby/toddler at home!” Please remember Erica in your prayers. We will let you know if we can assist the family in other ways during Erica’s recovery.

Jack Wallace

Jack Wallace will have a procedure this afternoon to remove a stuck kidney stone. Jack was recovering from another surgical procedure when this stone made its presence painfully known. With Jack and Joanne, we hope that the less invasive procedure, using ultra sound waves, will be successful

Moseley family

Please keep the Moseleys in your prayers. Stephen has tested positive for COVID and has been quite ill, including a trip to the ER yesterday. Fortunately, he didn’t need to be hospitalized. Malinda received a negative test result today, but suspects it may be a false negative. The whole family will be in quarantine for a few days. Katie will set up a mealtrain, and we will share that information via e-news and facebook.

Judi Sachs is facing one more minor surgery. She also learned that immunotherapy has just become available for her type of cancer. She is very grateful for that development, and so are we! Lifting up prayers of gratitude.

Hildred Martin

Hildred Martin passed away at The Meadows on December 24 at age 100.

Her daughter Beverly wrote, “Two weeks ago she became COVID-19 positive and steadily went down from there. She was beautifully cared for and much loved by residents and staff. … We are thankful she suffers no more and are comforted by the wonderful memories of her long life we will hold dearly. … She had many happy memories of being a part of the Vine Street Church community. We also are so appreciative to her friends at Vine Street who came to visit and bring her communion when she could no longer be with you on Sundays. ”

The funeral was on Monday, December 28, in Madisonville, Ky. Read obituary

Betsy and David Von Dohlen are receiving treatment for COVID, and they are grateful for the skill and care of their doctors and nurses, as well as the prayers and support of their family and friends.

Bob Goidel asks for prayers for his good friend, Charlie, who is starting treatment for cancer.

And thank you for continuing to surround Joe Keith and his family with your love and prayers.

Mary Ann Johnson

Mary Ann Johnson is believed to be nearing the end of her life. Please surround her and her family with your prayers. Her son, David, is keeping vigil at her bedside, and her daughter, Colleen, is on her way to Nashville from Colorado. Her son, Paul, who lives in New York, is not able to come and visit due to pandemic restrictions.

Virginia Fielder

Virginia Dodge Fielder, frequent visitor to Vine Street prior to the pandemic, asks for prayers for her native Wayne County and, in particular, for Waynesboro First Christian Church. To date, 12 Wayne Countians have passed away from COVID-19, including a prominent physician (whose death led to one of only a few mask mandates in rural Tennessee counties) and, at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, a man whose family membership at First Christian dates from the 1920s. Virginia also has lost a second cousin and Wayne Countians with whom she attended school to COVID-19. Thank you for remembering them in your prayers.
