Rachel Dixon’s brother, Bobby Register had another bad fall yesterday. He is hospitalized and undergoing tests. This is a very difficult time for him; please keep him in your prayers.
Lester's friend, Ruth
Lester McNatt asks for prayers for his friend, Ruth Burleson. Ruth fell at church on Sunday and broke her hip. She is scheduled for surgery today. Many of you have met Ruth; she has sung with the choir many times when she has been in town visiting Lester.

Plans are being made for Eva Evans to move to a hospice facility today or tomorrow. Earlier today, after all kinds of tubes, monitors and IV bags had been removed, she sat up and ate a couple of spoons of ice cream. She was delighted! Julia Shipp underwent in-patient toe surgery on Sunday morning. We pray for her swift and full recovery. If all goes well, she may go home on Tuesday.

Eva Evans is hospitalized after days of feeling unwell. She will undergo a number of tests, and we hope with her that, in addition to some answers, she will get relief from the symptoms she’s been experiencing. Thank you for your prayers.
Good news Friday
Pat Cole was discharged from the hospital on Thursday afternoon!
Joyce Crowell is making steady progress in rehab after her knee surgery and she expects to go home tomorrow. She will continue to do outpatient PT from home.

Jim Carls will be in Memphis on November 8, to attend the memorial mass for his mother, Joey, who died last year and had donated her body to the Medical Education Research Institute (MERI) in Memphis. Nina Reed's mother died
Nina Reed's mother, Mary Frances (Fran) McNemar died Saturday, October 19. Grandchildren are John Reed, Andrew Reed, and Kara Reed Carls. Funeral services are Thursday, October 24 in Virginia. Thank you for keeping the family in your prayers.
Mary Frances “Fran” McNemar, of Fairfield, was born at home on October 10th, 1942 in Buena Vista, Virginia to Walter Henry and Blanche Virginia Tomlin. She passed away peacefully at Havenwood on October 19th, 2024 at the age of 82 years after a lengthy and courageous battle with Alzheimer's Dementia.
Fran was a strong Christian and is now reunited with her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harold Randolph “Ron” McNemar, sister Kathie (Lucas) Hutton, and daughters Nina Blair (Steven) Reed of Nashville, TN and Jodi McNemar (Kenny) Myers of Mt. Sidney, VA. Also surviving are grandchildren John (Shannon ) Reed, Andrew (Jessica) Reed with great granddaughters Maddy and Charlotte, Kara (Alex) Carls; Selah (Jeff Messer) Myers and Kendal Myers. She was proceeded in death by her sister, Doris Tomlin and brother, Ralph Tomlin. She is survived by many loving nephews and nieces.
Fran graduated as salutatorian from Parry McCluer High School in 1960. She earned an art certificate via mail order in the 60’s and was a dedicated artist in various mediums, particularly drawing and painting, throughout her lifetime. She could make anything more beautiful and enjoyed her time decorating and creating as a homemaker. When the children became middle school age, Fran worked for a law office, then for an orthodontics practice in Winchester, Kentucky where she and Ron lived for 26 years.
After retiring to Fairfield, VA (1998), she and Ron proudly remodeled their home, the old Swan Inn, for over 25 years. Fran was an active and long-term member of the Winchester and Fairfield Presbyterian Churches. She took particular joy in creating the History Room and participating with and teaching the youth in Sunday School at the Fairfield Presbyterian Church. Fran was known for her painting/artistry, flower gardening, fashion style, primitive and antique interior decorating, delicious cooking, friendly smile and warm laughter. She enjoyed all holidays, especially Christmas, creating many decorations using her own creativity.
The family are especially thankful for the support by Connections Plus Hospice Services, Fairfield Presbyterian Church, and Havenwood. The care, love, and attention are much appreciated by the family. Arrangements will be made by Harrison Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be At 11 AM, Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Fairfield Presbyterian Church With Reverend Punker Robertson officiating. Interment will be private.

Sandra and Walter Robinson
Sandra and Walter Robinson have been through a difficult time. Sandra's 97-year-old mother fell several months ago and broke her shoulder, and just recently she fell again and broke her femur. A couple of weeks ago, Sandra herself broke her femur and had her hip replaced. She was able to come home this past Sunday. Thank you for keeping Sandra and Walter and their family in your prayers.
Judi Sachs
Judi Sachs is resting at home after a brief hospitalization. She wasn’t feeling well and went to get a health check, and she learned that she had suffered a minor stroke; she has a follow-up appointment on Monday. Dave is taking good care of her, and for the time being, she doesn’t need help with meals or transportation. She is grateful for your prayers.

She was recently hospitalized in East Tennessee receiving treatment for a severe abdominal infection. She is back in hospital, requiring surgery.

Bess Louise Wilson Henderson died peacefully at her home on September 4, 2024 at age 87. She was the daughter of Beatrice Lillian Greene Wilson and Paul Cressman Wilson, Sr.
Her husband, Bruce Doolin Henderson, founder of Boston Consulting Group, a worldwide firm, predeceased her.
She is survived by her brother, Paul C. Wilson, Jr. of Easton, MD, his sons Christopher (Andy) of Bridgehampton, NY, Jeffrey (Murphy) of Lexington, VA, Bradford (David) of NY, NY, Jonathan (Kathy) of Miami Beach, FL and his granddaughter, Lorna Wilson of NY, NY. She is also survived by stepchildren Asta Werme (Bruce) of Murfreesboro, Bruce Balfour Henderson of Solana Beach, CA, Ceacy Henderson (Nancie) of Colrain, MA and Bruce Alexander Henderson (Valerie) of Myrtle Beach, SC, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren, as well as her former daughters-in-law, Nancy G. Henderson and Cindy Catterson.
Prior to her marriage to Bruce, Bess worked at BCG in its early growth period in many different capacities, finally becoming Corporate Secretary and Assistant Treasurer. As offices were developed worldwide, she traveled extensively.
Bess delighted in her Halloween birthday. Over the years she developed a large collection of Halloween memorabilia, with which she decorated the inside of her home for a buffet dinner she prepared herself, including baking her own birthday cake, for friends each year.
Bess was an avid stitcher. Her beautiful needlepoint pieces were well displayed in her home and family and friends were often recipients of her handiwork.
She was a graduate of Green Mountain and Skidmore Colleges.
Bess was a member of Vine Street Christian Church, Belle Meade Country Club, Vanderbilt Womens Club, and an at-large member of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a long-time supporter of Insight Counseling Centers and served on the Board of Directors for many years.
A private family burial service will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home in Nashville, TN.
